Pet damage · South Bay
Pet odor & stain removal
Most companies will quote you a pet treatment over the phone without asking a single question. We won't, because whether it works depends entirely on how far the urine got.
Surface staining almost always lifts
If it's on the fibre, enzyme treatment breaks down the uric acid crystals that cause the smell and it comes out. This is the common case and it's straightforward.
Pad contamination is a different job
Once urine soaks through into the pad it keeps re-wetting the carpet from underneath every time humidity rises. Topical cleaning masks it for a fortnight and then it's back. That needs the pad cut and replaced, which is carpet work, not cleaning.
Subfloor is worse again
On concrete slab — which is most of the South Bay — urine wicks into the pores and needs sealing. We'll tell you if that's what you're looking at.
We check before you pay
We test the pad on arrival. If topical treatment won't hold, you'll hear that before we start, and we'll tell you what would actually fix it even though it isn't work we do.
Questions
Pet odor, answered straight
Can you get dog urine smell out of carpet?
If it's on the fibre, yes, almost always. If it's soaked into the pad or the slab underneath, topical cleaning won't hold and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you a treatment that'll fail in two weeks.
How much does pet treatment cost?
From $60 per affected area, on top of the carpet cleaning. We quote it after seeing how many areas there are, not before.
Is the treatment safe for the dog?
Yes. Enzyme cleaners are non-toxic once dry. Keep pets off the carpet until it's dry, which is four to six hours.
What if the smell comes back?
Then it was in the pad, and we'll have told you that was a risk. Come back to us — we don't charge twice to find that out.
