Upholstery & sofa cleaning
Upholstery holds more than carpet does — body oils, sunscreen, sand, and whatever the dog brought in off the Strand. It also stains more easily and forgives less.
How we do it
What actually matters on this job
From $90 a piece · sofa $160 · sectional $220
Every piece gets colourfast-tested
Linen, velvet and a lot of performance fabrics will bleed or watermark. We test a hidden seam first. If a fabric can't take moisture we'll tell you rather than find out on your cushion.
Cushions cleaned both sides
Most of the wear is on the face, but the underside is where the odour lives. Both sides, every time, at no extra charge.
Sand is the South Bay problem
Every beach household has it in the seat foam. It's abrasive, it grinds the weave from the inside, and vacuuming only reaches the surface. Extraction is what pulls it out.
Mattresses too
Sweat, dust mites and allergens, single through king. Worth doing once a year if anyone in the house has allergies.
Questions
Upholstery, answered straight
How much does it cost to clean a sofa?
From $160 for a standard three-seat sofa, $90 for an armchair, from $220 for a sectional quoted per piece. Mattresses from $95.
Will it damage the fabric?
Not if it's tested first, which is why we always do. Some fabrics — certain velvets, unbacked linens, a few silk blends — can't be wet-cleaned safely, and we'd rather turn the job down than ruin a sofa.
How long until we can sit on it?
Four to six hours for most fabrics. We'll leave air movers if you need it faster.
Do you clean dining chairs?
Yes, usually priced as a set rather than per chair. Send a photo and we'll quote it.
